Mock Draft part 1 now published
During this traditionally slow time for the Steelers, it’s logical that good news would be hard to come by. So, to fill the void, SteelerWatch has posted the first edition of our official Mock Draft, covering picks 1 through 16. Check it out and give your feedback!

Four OLs in the top 16, but no Adrian Peterson? Come on. There’s no way Peterson gets past Houston if he’s still on the board. The Texans can’t possibly forego the top running back again after the Reggie Bush fiasco last year.

Okay, Peterson is on my board now — leaving him out was an oversight, not intentional. However, even if he makes it to Houston at #10, I say he stays on the board until Buffalo. The Texans just signed Ahman Green to a contract worth nearly $6 million per year for the next four years. You don’t drop that kind of cash on a running back if you plan to draft one in the first round. The only teams I see looking hard at him ar Tampa Bay (because Jon Gruden thinks he’s the best running back ever) and Minnesota; however, Tampa will take Johnson just because he’s still there at #4 and is considered the best player in the draft, and Minnesota can’t afford to use a first-round pick on anything outside of their utterly dreadful secondary.
